Campus is a-bustle with activity. Just yesterday, I had the chance to walk through campus with John Feinberg ’74 and talk about some of the work that’s being done.
There is a new natural gas line that connects to the newly installed boiler system in South Hall. This new heating system bypasses the hundreds of feet, and thus the significant energy inefficiency, of the old steam tunnel heating system. The boilers in the basement will heat the water for the radiator system on site, in the building. The pipes should be buried sometime in the next few days.
