The Defenestration Gallery, WindowCIL’s future student art gallery, wishes to create a space for student agency in the arts and support the development of artists by providing opportunities to display work, curate exhibitions, learn essential art skills, and participate in all levels of an arts organization. The gallery also hopes to produce publications, including a quarterly catalogue compiling the artwork shown during the previous term, art-writing, artist responses, and professional documentation of the work. This project would use the $5,000 would provide costs of supplies for the gallery, printing of the publications, food and other such supplies for events, plus provide an stipend for each artist.
