The Coretta Scott King Center Resource Lounge project would like to create a Multipurpose Resource Lounge that will serve as a resource center, student lounge and meeting space, in order to meet the growing need for additional student space on campus. The space will assist in initiatives to create a welcoming and accessible environment for diverse students and efforts to support students in their sense of belonging. This proposed space would also offer a comfortable and private area for meetings and access to a computer and media resources for diversity-focused independent groups. The project would use the $5,000 for furniture, technology and multicultural media resources.
