Antioch Review a Finalist for National Magazine Award

For the second year running, the Antioch Review has been named a finalist for the Annual National Magazine Award. This year’s nomination is in the fiction category for the story “The Coat” by German writer Uwe Timm, translated by Robert C. Conard, Professor Emeritus at the University of Dayton. The story was published in the Summer 2009 all-fiction issue of the Review.

“We are obviously thrilled at the national recognition the Review is receiving,” said Robert S. Fogarty, editor in chief. “It shows that the world at large is recognizing our continuing commitment to serve our readers and our authors and to publish the ‘best words in the best order.'”
