The Pollinator Path project on the Antioch Farm will involve student workers and volunteers planting pollinator-friendly plants along a meandering path for visitors and students to enjoy. It will also provide an ongoing learning laboratory for student study and experiment. The area’s native pollinators have been rapidly declining due to widespread pesticide use. This space will provide safe refuge and habitat for these important creatures. The Antioch Farm plans to use the $5,000 to buy the supplies and equipment for planting, and to pay for student-worker wages and labor costs.
